DEWA Account Deactivation or Disconnection


DEWA Disconnection process as follows:

a. Log in with User Id and password.

b. Select the contract account. In case clearance certificate is required, click check box.

c. Pay old outstanding amount (if any) along with clearance certificate charges (if selected in the previous step).

d. After successful payment confirmation, provide Move Out date, phone number and method of refund (IBAN/Cheque). Click submit.

·         You will receive an SMS & Email with Move Out notification number.

·         Final bill will be sent to your registered Email ID.

·         Refund (if any) will be processed via IBAN / Cheque, as selected earlier.

Notify DEWA: Notify through email/fax or personal visit at Customer Happiness Center before vacating the premises with the following details i.e.

a. Customer Account Number

b. Date of disconnection

c. UAE Mobile Number

d. Emirates ID

In case of Companies: Authorization Letter from company duly stamped and signed.

Once your Deactivation of Electricity and Water Service (Move Out) request is created, you will receive an email with a link to select the refund option (Cheque / IBAN). You will receive SMS/ Email with Move Out notification number. Final bill will be sent to your registered Email ID.

Payment & Refund

a. Final Bill Settlement: Final bill amount can be paid through DEWA online Channels or in cash at DEWA Customer Happiness Center.

b. Security Deposit Refund: Any refund, after the adjustment of Final bill amount, will be processed via IBAN/Cheque, as selected earlier.

Please Note: Thukher and Sanad cardholders are entitled to a 50% discount on De-activation charges.

Estimated Delivery Duration
